Dogs and cat

Sansa is our nine year old Boxer. We adopted her into our family two years ago from a shelter in Chicago. The shelter staff suspected that she had been kept in a cage most of her life and used as a breeder. This rough treatment has left physical scars on my dear Sansa but despite this she is the most well behaved, beautiful and sweet dog I’ve ever met. Sansa is one in a million. She  has literally stopped traffic with her good looks. She charms everyone she meets human or animal. She is gentle and kind. We love her with our all our heart. Her name comes from my absolute favorite series of books, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

Drogo is a month old but still quite the typically puppy. He is energetic and happy and wants to lick everyone and everything he meets. He gets along great with other dogs and is working on learning that you can’t play with a cats the way you play with a dog. His favorite game is playing Bite My Face with Sansa or playing fetch with his humans. He will do anything for food. His name is also from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin.

We adopted Asha in November 2011. Asha enjoys chasing mice, putting my hair in her mouth, and cuddles in the morning. She is almost aggressively friendly and quite charming. I usually am more of a dog person but Asha has won my heart. Her name is also from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

She is a lush.

We recently adopted five barn kitties. Nymeria was the fifth, the smallest and the cuddliest. We decided to keep her inside. Now we have one brown cat and one brown dog and one black dog and one black cat. Which is great, because I love symmetry. She is notoriously hard to photograph.
